The inverter (100) has a set of dies arranged in a central region of power module substrates (160, 162) and coupled with a set of sides of the substrate. A housing (106) is formed on an outer edge of the substrates. The housing is coupled with the substrates such that the housing forms a hermetical seal that is provided with copper. Another set of sides of the substrates is arranged such that the latter set of sides is in contact with fluid i.e. coolant, that flows through a fluid passage. The housing is made of plastic material or polymer. An inner layer of the substrates is made of silicon.
