<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device for a wheel capable of maintaining the face-runout accuracy of a wheel attaching flange while reducing the weight, and improving its durability by enhancing the strength of the wheel attaching flange. <P>SOLUTION: In the bearing device for the wheel in which the wheel attaching flange 6 and a pilot part 14 extending from the base part of the wheel attaching flange to the outer side are formed on the one end part of a hub ring 4, and a plurality of hub bolts 7 are press-fitted in the circumferential direction of the wheel attaching flange 6 at regular intervals, a conical recess 13 axially extending is formed on the outer side end part of the hub ring 4 and its depth is limited to near base part 6b, and a plurality of built-up parts 15 are formed on the inner circumference of the pilot part 14 by forging processing. Since the built-up parts 15 are disposed on the same phase position as the hub bolts 7, the strength of the wheel attaching flange 6 can be enhanced while reducing the weight, and stress generated in the corner part 16 of the pilot part 14 can be relaxed when a moment load is applied. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
