<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve mountability on a vehicle, secure assisting action and suppress the hammering sound of a rack shaft in regard to an electric power steering device. <P>SOLUTION: In the electric power steering device, an electric assist pump 31 is driven when vehicle speed is lower than a constant value, a hydraulic cylinder 33 is operated by hydraulic pressure force-fed through the electric assist pump 31, and electric assist force output by an electric assist motor 17 is supplemented by imparting hydraulic assist force output by the hydraulic cylinder 33 to the rack shaft 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
