摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a liquid crystal device reducing positional deviation of an optical axis of a liquid crystal cell and an optical axis of a polarizer, and to provide the liquid crystal device. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the liquid crystal device includes: a step for preparing a liquid crystal cell 50 provided with a liquid crystal layer 40 interposed between an element substrate 10 and a counter substrate 30 that are arranged so as to face each other and a wire grid polarizer 60 provided in at least one spot of the element substrate 10 and having a polarization separation function; a first step for measuring the intensity of light 57 transmitted through an area of the liquid crystal cell 50, in which the wire grid polarizer 60 is provided, and a polarizing plate 44 by rotating at least one of the liquid crystal cell 50 and the polarizing plate 44 within an opposing face in a state in which the polarizing plate 44 is arranged so as to face on an outer side of the element substrate 10 of the liquid crystal cell 50; and a second step for determining the relative positional relationship of the polarizing plate 44 to the wire grid polarizer 60 based on the result of measurement of the intensity of the light 57 and attaching the polarizing plate 44 to the element substrate 10 of the liquid crystal cell 50. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
