<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating device for an optical lens in which the reversing operation of a lens is secure, and the possibility of position shift is eliminated, and which can securely be attached to a rotary stand. <P>SOLUTION: The coating device includes: a ring-shaped lens holding fixture 16 holding the outer circumference of a lens; a coating vessel 12 provided with a rotary stand to which the lens holding fixture 16 is fitted; a driving apparatus for a rotary stand driving the rotary stand; a coating solution dropping apparatus 20 dropping a coating solution to the face to be coated in the lens 2; and a reversing apparatus 17 for a fixture reversing the lens holding fixture 16.
