<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem, wherein the operation for adding or changing instruction codes or switching registers is needed to access an extended register, when performing the register extension of an information processor, such as, microcomputer. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The information processor is provided with an instruction memory 1; a data memory 9; an instruction control unit 4 for generating a control signal according to an instruction read from the instruction memory; a load store unit 10 for accessing the data memory according to the control signal by the instruction control unit; arithmetic units 5 and 6 for performing arithmetic operation, in accordance with the control signal by the instruction control unit; a standard register group 7 for storing data to be used by the operator 5; an expanded register group 8 for storing data to be used by the operator 6; a selection means 12 for selecting either the standard register group 7 or the expanded register group 8 by a selection signal A3; and a selection condition determination means 13 for outputting the selection signal A3 to the selection means 12.
