System for tilting a propulsion unit (4) of an aircraft, the said propulsion unit (4) being situated at the rear of the aircraft fuselage (1), the said system comprising a rolling assembly (21) and a pivoting assembly (6), the said rolling assembly (21) allowing the tilting of the propulsion unit (4) in a plane parallel to the vertical plane of the aircraft by means of the pivoting assembly (6), resulting in the deviation of the exhaust gases of the propulsion unit (4), thus achieving a vectorial thrust which is controllable independently for each propulsion unit (4) of the aircraft, optimum for each flying phase or manoeuvre of said aircraft, the said vectorial thrust component being deviated angularly in a plane parallel to the vertical plane of the aircraft and with respect to the longitudinal axis of the said aircraft.
