The arrangement (1) has a vehicle seat (3) including an inflatable element (4) i.e. airbag, which is provided for protecting an occupant (5) present on the vehicle seat. The inflatable element is formed and arranged such that the element is extended predominantly in a direction of the occupant when the element is inflated. The element is non-folded or integrated with a fold or folded back in a backrest (31) of the seat. The element extends between a side (312) of the seat and the occupant in an inflated condition, where the seat is turned towards a side structure (21) close to the seat.
