<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of utilization of the buffer memory and to hardly miss the best shots during performing slow display shooting. <P>SOLUTION: This imaging device comprises: a buffer 35 for slow display that can temporarily store a plurality of frames of image data 41 captured by an image pickup sensor; an identity detection unit 32 that detects identity or nonidentity between at least two image data consecutively captured by the image pickup sensor adjacent in time on the basis of a prescribed image characteristic quantity; and a main control unit 31 that controls the device to write the captured image data in the buffer 35 for slow display when the identity detection unit 32 detects the nonidentity and not to write the captured image data in the buffer 35 for slow display when it detects the identity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
