<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle theft prevention device preventing a theft prevention function from being overridden by drawing out a connector from a control unit, or by detaching the connector and replacing the control unit with a prepared other control unit. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle theft prevention device 10 includes the control unit 16 amounted on a vehicle; at least one theft detection sensor 18 disposed in the vehicle; a cover 28 for covering the connector 26 detachably connected to the control unit; and cover attaching bolts 30 for fixing the cover 28 to the vehicle. In the vehicle theft prevention device 10, the control unit 16 inputs a detection signal of the theft prevention sensor through the connector 26, and based on the detection signal, controls at least any one of operations of vehicle equipment 12 and an internal combustion engine 14 through the connector 26, thereby preventing the vehicle theft.
