PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine beam for an elevator for facilitating the installation and adjustment of installation equipment even if there is no allowance in a place where the elevator is disposed, and improving the comfortability of the ride of a cage. SOLUTION: A pair of machine bed beams 1 where a hoisting machine M is placed and fixed, and provided at a position parallel and adjacent to a rotating shaft of the hoisting machine, a vibration resistant member 2 preventing the vibration of the hoisting machine M under the machine bed beams 1, a machine beam 3 at a main sheave side fixing the machine bed beams 1 at the main sheave M1 side through the vibration resistant member 2, a first support beam 4 supporting the machine bed beams 1 between the machine beam 3 at the main sheave side and the machine bed beams 1, a machine beam 6 at a braking device side securing the machine bed beams 1 at the braking device M2 side through the vibration resistant member 2, and a second support beam 5 supporting the machine bed beams 1 between the machine beam 6 at the braking device side and the machine bed beams 1.
