PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic probe which restrains the temperature of a probe body from increasing and is easy to sterilize. SOLUTION: The probe body 3 includes a vibrator portion 4 arranged on one end of a probe case 33 and sending and receiving ultrasound to and from a subject P, a heat transmission portion 5 arranged in the probe case 33 and transmitting heat generated in the probe case 33 to the vicinity of the other end of the probe case 33, and a cooling portion 7 removably arranged in the vicinity of the other end outside the probe case 33 and cooling the probe case 33. The cooling portion 7 cools the other end of the probe case 33 by contactlessly receiving electrical power transmitted into the probe case 33 through a connector 32 and a cable 31 from an ultrasonograph body 2 through the probe case 33.
