The device has a securing unit fixed at a tank cover (1), and a traction rope (2) i.e. traction band, subjected with a resetting force. An end (2') of the rope is fixed at an outer side (1') of the tank cover, and another end (2'') of the rope is fixed at a tank flap (3) over an inner side (3') of the tank flap. The inner side of the tank flap exhibits a passage opening (5), where the traction rope subjected with the resetting force is guided and directed to a rope winch i.e. autostat, over the passage opening.
