The anode (16) has a target (14) consisting of a bonding material with a matrix material that produces X-ray emissions. Carbon nano-tubes are embedded in the matrix material in such a manner that ends of the carbon nano-tubes lie in an area of a boundary surface between a base body (18) of the anode and the target connected with the anode, where the carbon nano-tubes extend starting from the area of the boundary surface into the matrix material. The target consists of a sinter material. The carbon nano-tubes extend starting from a nucleus layer into the matrix material. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing an anode.
