<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect an owner (the user) of a digital certificate from damages due to hacking and fishing, attacked by sealing the digital certificate in a digital envelope image in the course of issuance, updating and reissuing of the digital certificate. <P>SOLUTION: A system and method for issuing a digital certificate include the steps: storing a user select image selected by a user for issuing a digital certificate by a proxy server or a certificate server; and requesting the certificate server to issue the digital certificate;and if the digital certificate has been issued, creating a sealed digital envelope image by combining the digital certificate with the user-selected image and transmitting the digital envelope image to the user terminal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
