<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound showing a squalene synthase inhibitory effect and cholesterol synthesis inhibitory effect, having a low toxicity, and useful as a medicine for the preventing and/or treating agent, etc., of hyperlipidemia such as hypercholesterolemia, hypertriglyceridemia, hyperlipidemia such as hypo-high density lipidemia (HDL), and/or arteriosclerosis for mammalian animals including human.
