摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser survey instrument capable of changing a beam diameter, corresponding to a distance to be measured and improving measurement accuracy irrespective of a length of a measurement distance. SOLUTION: The laser survey instrument includes: a light source 36 for emitting laser beams; an emission optical system 7 for making the laser beams from the light source into a parallel light flux; a scanning part 5 for scanning the light flux of the emitted laser beams; a scanning direction detecting part for detecting a scanning direction; a light reception optical system 8 for receiving reflected light of the irradiated laser beams from a target of measurement; a light-receiving element 35 for photoelectrically converting the reflected light received via the light reception optical system; and a distance measuring part 6 for measuring the distance, based on a signal from the light receiving element: and the emission optical system includes a light flux diameter varying means 37 for making the flux diameter of the emitted laser beams variable.
