<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of using a content analysis result, when the contents stored in an information processing apparatus are reproduced, while improving collection efficiency of the content analysis result in an information providing apparatus. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The information processing apparatus 100 acquires and transmits content identification information and transmits it to the information providing apparatus 200, determines whether or not, a content analysis result is received from the information providing apparatus 200, and if it is determined that the content analysis result is received from the information providing apparatus 200, the content analysis result is stored in a storage section 150. If it is determined that the information processing apparatus has not received the content analysis result from the information providing apparatus 200, a content data stored in the information processing apparatus 100 is analyzed and the content analysis result is obtained.
