<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding structure in which hydrocarbon fuel is interposed between the sliding faces of a specified composite member and a metallic member, thereby the wear of both members can be suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: In the sliding structure (such as a component for fuel feed feeding fuel to an internal combustion engine) in which a composite member comprising a composite material where fibrous carbon (carbon nanofiber, carbon nanotube) is dispersed into ceramics (such as silicon nitride and sialon) and a metallic member (such as bearing steel) are slid each other, hydrocarbon fuel (such as paraffinic hydrocarbon fuel) containing 10<SP>-5</SP>to 2×10<SP>-4</SP>mass% of water is interposed between the respective sliding faces of the composite member and the metallic member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
