<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly accurately enable pattern matching with template data at a high speed on the basis of object images obtained to image electronic components having a plurality of corners. <P>SOLUTION: A pattern matching method of the electronic components includes: imaging the electronic components having the plurality of the corners to obtain reference images G so as to extract each corner C from obtained reference images and so as to extract edges from prescribed extraction regions B set by regarding each extracted corner as references; selecting only straight edges E excluding the neighborhood A of the corners from the extracted edges; preserving the selected straight edges as template data to image the same kinds of electronic components being objects and to obtain object images so as to extract each corner from the obtained object images; extracting the edges from prescribed extraction regions set by regarding each extracted corner as references; selecting only straight edges excluding the neighborhood of the corner from the extracted edges; and collating the electronic components being object on the basis of the selected straight edges and the template data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
