<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an internal combustion engine capable of recirculating an appropriate quantity of exhaust gas for each cylinder by supplying a different quantity of exhaust gas to each cylinder. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An engine system, having a plurality of cylinders, for recirculating part of the exhaust gas to respective cylinders includes EGR gas injection valves 70, 71 arranged for the respective cylinders for directly supplying the EGR gas into respective cylinders and an ECU 81 for controlling an opening/closing timing of the EGR gas injection valves 70, 71. The ECU 81 calculates request EGR quantities required for the respective cylinders corresponding to an operation condition of an engine 10 and controls the opening/closing timing of the EGR gas injection valves 70, 71 to provide the quantities of EGR.
