<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil component with a wide variable range of inductance by a simple structure. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The coil component 10 includes a first magnetic core 2 in a closed magnetic path structure, a first coil 3 wound to the first magnetic core 2 and a magnetic permeability variable part 6 changing magnetic permeability in a part of the first magnetic core 2. The magnetic permeability variable part 6 has a structure where a second coil 8 is wound to the second magnetic core 7 having an open magnetic path part 9, and it constitutes a closed magnetic path by making the open magnetic path part 9 abut on a part of the first magnetic core 2.
