<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic maternity passbook and an electronic maternity passbook system easily available for users, and an electronic weight scale desirable for this use. <P>SOLUTION: By this electronic weight scale, weight of only mother and weight of both mother/child are measured in a high accuracy area of a weight detecting section to measure weight of the baby with minute scale from difference in the measured weights. Another area of the weight detecting section earns dynamic range as a normal accuracy area. Shift of the high accuracy area is enabled so as to store both weights of only mother and mother/child. The shift amount is memorized to compensate absolute weight of only mother. Electronic maternity passbook software installed in a cell-phone manages the weight of baby input from the weight scale in stand-alone mode, while indicating it in contrast with statistical development curve received from external server. Then the baby weight is transmitted to the external server, participating in statistics.
