<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator configured to enhance watertightness and airtightness in a glass tube heater and prevent moisture remaining, built inexpensively by adopting a simple cap structure, and easy to assemble as the glass tube heater. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The refrigerator includes a refrigeration cycle connecting, in a loop, a compressor, a condenser, a wringer and an evaporator. The evaporator is disposed in an insulated box. The glass tube heater 15 arranged under the evaporator to defrost the evaporator includes a cylindrical glass tube 17, a heater wire 18 enveloped in the glass tube, a lead wire 19 serving as a feeder to the heater wire, a coupling terminal 20 connecting the lead wire to the heater wire, and a cap 21 covering the coupling terminal to seal both ends of the glass tube. A tubular part 25 of the cap forming a lead wire outlet is externally constricted with a fastening band 29, so that the lead wire as well as the tubular part is bent down.
