<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring instrumental device which surely can notify a driver that engine revolution has reached a predetermined value. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This measuring instrumental device includes a pointer 4 operating based on the engine revolution as a measured magnitude, a display panel 5 having a display 5a indicated by the pointer 4 (indicator 4a), a translucent member 8 arranged forward the display panel 5 so as to encircle operating range of the pointer 4 (indicator 4a), a metal-prepared semi-transmissive section 8a formed in front of the translucent member 8, a light source 10 supplying illumination light to the translucent member 8, and control means 23 which turns the light source 10 ON to be operated when the indicated value of the indicator 4a with respect to the display 5a reaches the predetermined value.
