<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the wear of sliding parts of bearing sections and a compression mechanism section of a hermetic compressor by the reverse rotation of a shaft. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This hermetic compressor includes an oil feed means for pumping up the lubricating oil pumped up to a hollow section 137 near a first sliding part 133 when the shaft is reversely rotated. Even during the reverse rotation, the lubricating oil pumped up by a centrifugal pump 140 is conveyed to the hollow section 137 through a first communication hole 145. The lubricating oil conveyed to the hollow section 137 is pumped up by the oil feed means for pumping up the lubricating oil near the first sliding section, and lubricates the sliding parts.
