<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a lid for a liquid container for a conventional water server is hardly mounted to the mouth of a liquid container body. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This lid for the liquid container comprises an upper lid for closing the upper end opening of a cylindrical opening of the liquid container, an outer cylinder hung from the outer edge of the upper lid and covering the outer peripheral face of the cylindrical opening, a projecting part formed at the inner peripheral face of the lower part of the outer cylinder, and a notch formed at the projecting part of the inner peripheral face of the outer cylinder, and is characterized in that the projecting part formed at the outer peripheral face of the upper end of the cylindrical opening is liquid-tightly fitted to a part formed of the upper lid, the outer cylinder and the projecting part of the inner peripheral face of the outer cylinder.
