Within a translucent or semi-translucent bulb shell (2), multiple LED light source bodies (5) are disposed on a wiring substrate (4) provided in a ferrule (3), and multiple tubular light-transmitting members (7) with the substrate side as one end are disposed extending in parallel and are allocated and grouped so as to face the LED light source bodies at each of the ends thereof. A portion of the light from each of the LED light source bodies advances directly through the light-transmitting member to which it belongs and reaches the upper end of the light bulb from the other end of the member; the remaining light is irregularly refracted by an uneven part (7a) provided at the inner peripheral part of each light-transmitting member and reaches the side of the bulb shell (2) from the peripheral surface of the light-transmitting member. Thus, illuminating light is emitted uniformly from the entire light bulb. Consequently, it is possible to provide an LED light bulb that is capable of producing uniform illumination even when LED (light-emitting diode) light sources that have strong directionality are used. |
