<p>The method involves guiding an open mold (27), particularly by a transport device, and inserting a supporting body for positioning or fixing insert (20) or inserts (20.1,20.2) in a tool part, particularly into a tool half. The geometrical information particularly dimensions and shape of inserts is detected by a sensor. The insert is transferred in an open mold by a gripper.
