PURPOSE: A four color display device and a signal converting method thereof are provided to reduce greenish phenomenon of the low brightness white light. CONSTITUTION: An arrangement unit(611) obtains a maximum input gradation, an intermediate input gradation, and a minimum input gradation. A gamma converter(612) generates a maximum input brightness, an intermediate input brightness, and a minimum input brightness. A calculator(613) obtains a maximum output brightness, an intermediate output brightness, and a minimum output brightness. An inverse gamma converter(614) obtains a white output gradation, a maximum output gradation, an intermediate output gradation, and a minimum output gradation. An arrangement restoring unit(615) generates 4 color output image signal.
