MOBILE TERMINAL AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and a control method thereof are provided to easily select a broadcast channel a user want among a plurality of broadcast channels received from a mobile terminal. CONSTITUTION: A memory unit(160) stores broadcast reception restriction information. An interface unit(170) equips either an UIM(User ID Module), a SIM(Subscriber ID Module) or USIM(Universal Subscriber ID Module). When a first broadcast reception restriction information for a first identification module mounted on the interface unit is set, a controller(180) stores the first broadcast reception restriction information in the memory unit and transmits the information to an external server through a wireless communications unit. When the first identification module is disconnected from the interface unit, the controller deletes the first broadcast reception restriction information saved in the memory unit.
