The invention relates to a wireless electronic arrangement (100) arranged to position the wireless electronic arrangement in an operational mode. The wireless electronic arrangement is arranged to be connected to an earphone arrangement arranged to be in an active state or an non-active state. The wireless electronic arrangement (100) comprises an electric signal generator (104) arranged to generate a second electric signal to be sent over the earphone arrangement (20). The wireless electronic arrangement further comprises a measuring arrangement (105) adapted to make at least one measurement on the second electric signal to determine a second value indicating a second acoustic impedance of the earphone arrangement. The wireless electronic arrangement furthermore comprises a control unit (101) arranged to compare the second value with a first value indicating a first acoustic impedance stored on a memory unit (107) and based on the comparison to determine the state of the earphone arrangement. The control unit (101) is then arranged to change operational mode of the wireless electronic arrangement based on the determined state of the earphone arrangement.
