<p>The method involves detecting an input character, and selecting a location from a set of locations based on the input character, where the locations are stored in a database (150). The selected location is represented, and a pre-determined location is selected in the represented location. A navigational relevance of position assigned to the location is selected. The navigational relevance of the location is determined on basis of a traffic impact of the position assigned to the location and on basis of proximity of the position with respect to an actual position of a navigation device (100).
