<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the utilization of an item accompanying the support of communication among users and to accurately select users with similar interest and preference for the item. <P>SOLUTION: A server device comprises: a user similarity degree calculation means for calculating the similarity degree of the preference for the item between one user and the other users on the basis of information stored in a utilization history storage means for the one user desiring information exchange with the other users; an introducing person selection means for selecting the other user whose similarity degree with the one user is equal to or higher than a first reference value as an introducing person; a spare introducing person selection means for selecting the other user whose similarity degree with the one user is less than the first reference value and equal to or higher than a second reference value as a spare introducing person; and an item selection means for selecting the item for increasing the similarity degree of the one user and the spare introducing person. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
