<p>The element (2) has a printed circuit board with electronic components having a software that provides identification numbers of an ink cartridge (1) to a printer. The numbers are modified such that the printer identifies the numbers as the number of an empty cartridge when the component is not attached, and the cartridge is converted to an empty cartridge for refilling. A contact transfer unit (3) of the cartridge is connected with the control element by a detachable and non-detachable process (4) e.g. soldering, such that electronic data is transmitted from the component to the printer.</p> |
