PURPOSE: An arc remover and a hybrid switch thereof are provided to improve the lifespan of a relay by minimizing an arc generated in a contact point of a relay. CONSTITUTION: Two power ports(10,20) are electrically connected to a relay. A terminal for a relay is connected to one terminal of a relay in order to measure the contact current. A keying signal terminal opens and closes the electrical contact between the two power ports. A semiconductor switch(30) is opened and closed with a electrical keying signal. A contact current sensor(40) generates the contact current signal. A semiconductor switch driving part(50) controls opening and shutting of the semiconductor switch with the electrical keying signal and contact current signal. A frame(60) interlinks the elements and the relay mechanically.
