PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst converter for exhaust emission control excellent in assembling a catalyst holding body to a metal shell. SOLUTION: This catalyst converter for exhaust emission control is composed of a catalyst holding body 3 formed by making a carrier carry a catalyst for exhaust emission control, a tubular metal shell 2 covering the outside of a catalyst holding body 3, and a holding seal material 1 comprising an inorganic fiber mat interposed between the catalyst holding body 3 and the metal shell 2. The holding seal material 1 is wound around the periphery of the catalyst holding body 3, and the winding joint part 13 of the holding seal material 1 is fixed by the fixing member 4 provided in the catalyst body 3. |
