1,036,032. Planing. O. WALDRICH, and B. KAPP, [trading as WERKZEUGMASCHINENFABRIK ADOLF WALDRICH COBURG]. March 11, 1964 [March 14, 1963], No. 10344/64. Heading B3L. In a planing machine, a bolt-like element 19 is provided for locking a tool holder 2 to a guideway 3. Operation of a piston rod 8 moves the holder 2 downwardly until a stop 10 engages a fixed stop 18 to determine the cutting position. The rod continues to move downwardly against springs 9 until cam surfaces 24, 25 engaging rollers 22, 23 move the locking bolt 19 to engage in a recess 21. To relieve the tool, the rod 8 is moved upwardly first to remove the bolt 19 and then to move the holder up until a resilient stop 11 engages an adjustable stop 13. |
