PRINTING MEDIUM, PRINTING METHOD AND PRINTING APPARATUS USING PHOTONIC CRYSTAL CHARACTERISTICS

PURPOSE: A printing medium, a printing method, and a printing apparatus using photonic crystal characteristics are provided to express full colors on t he printing medium without using an ink having pigment by controlling the wavelength of light which is reflected from the printing medium. CONSTITUTION: A printing medium(500) using photonic crystal characteristic includes a media(520) in which a plurality of particles having electric charges are dispersed. The interval of particles is controlled by applying electric field or magnetic field and energy to the media. The interval of particles is fixed by blocking the energy in the media. The media includes a material which is reversibly phase-changed or the material which is irreversibly hardened.
