<p>The pressure transducer provided with a measuring chamber is separated by a medium which is to be measured by a separation membrane. A piezoelectric element is arranged on the measuring chamber which is filled with silicone oil, thereby enabling the specific volume of said chamber to be modified. An adjustable path of the measuring signal is compared to a reference path and considerable deviations indicate an error on the membrane. As a result, the state of the separation membrane can be monitored when the pressure transducer is in the installed state.</p> |
