FIELD: information technology. ^ SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps on which at a first station data are divided into a sequence of data packets and the said sequence of data packets is transmitted; at a second station, the data packets are received and confirmation for successful reception of the said packets is sent; at the first station, the data packet which was not successfully received is resent in form of a sequence of several sub-packets; at the second station, data from the packets and data sub-packets are recovered, where the data packets contain an index number which indicates position of each data packet within the sequence of data packets, and sub-packets contain a sub-packet indicator which indicates position of each sub-packet within the sequence of sub-packets. Index numbers and indicators of sub-packets collectively contain a set of numbers, where one of the sub-packet indicators is equal to the index number of the data packet which was not received successfully, where each sub-packet from the said sequence does not contain any additional indication of its position with respect to data packets besides the sub-packet indicator. ^ EFFECT: improved retransmission protocol. ^ 11 cl, 9 dwg |
