The invention relates to the field of woodworking industry, and it can be used in manufacturing sliced wood veneer sheets, including those from finewood. Using a telpher, headboards (1) are loaded into a hydrothermal treatment chamber, which is shown in figure added. It is partially filled with water (2). Then the chamber is covered with a lid (3). Warmed vapor is fed through pipe (4) heating the water and, consequently, the headboards (1) to a temperature of 30 to 70 Celsius degrees, at which temperature the headboards undergo hydrothermal treatment during 1 to 4 hours. Upon completion of the hydrothermal treatment, the headboards are brought to a veneer-slicing machine adapted to produce sliced wood veneer sheets of a desired thickness (typically 0.3 to 4 mm). The obtained sliced wood veneer sheets are dried and leveled using the same equipment.
|
