FIELD: medicine, life saving equipment. ^ SUBSTANCE: substance release control devices comprising valves and methods are especially suitable, however not limited, for controlling such substances as pressurised extinction mediums. The valve comprises a casing with an input to be attached to a substance source, an output and a passageway extended in-between; the passageway is covered with a ceramic disk and supplied with by electric pulse transfer to the disk to be destroyed thereby connecting the input and output. The ceramic disk comprises a ceramic material containing metal oxide and characterised by dielectric strength equal to or less than 105 Vm-1. The methods involves the stages of retaining the substances in the container, connecting the container to the valve of said design and transferring electric pulse to the disk to destroying thereof and connecting the input and output. ^ EFFECT: ensured control of substance release. ^ 21 cl, 11 dwg |
