PURPOSE: A vacuum cleaner is provided to remove dust on a filter unit without steps of detaching the filter unit and cleaning the filter unit and minimize fine dust flowed into a suction motor. CONSTITUTION: A vacuum cleaner is comprises a vacuum cleaner body; a dust collecting container; a filter unit; a removing dust member which removes dust in the filter unit; an operating unit(280) which controls the filter unit in manual; and a pressurizing member which applies pressure to the dust in the dust collecting container. The dust in the filter unit is removed by the removing dust member in a process where the filter unit moves with the manipulation of the operation unit.
