PURPOSE: An array substrate for a liquid crystal display device, a manufacturing method thereof, and a liquid crystal display device which includes the array substrate are provided to minimize optical leakage current by eliminating optical loss using a blocking shield. CONSTITUTION: A gate electrode(202) is formed on a substrate. A gate insulating film(203) is formed on the substrate in which the gate electrode is formed. A semiconductor layer(204) is formed to be corresponded to the gate electrode. A protective layer(205) is formed in the front side of the substrate in which source/drain electrodes are formed. A pixel electrode(210) is electrically connected with the drain electrode.
