PURPOSE: A method for massively preparing glutathione is provided to improve yield of glutathione by performing fed-batch culture of yeast. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing glutathione is performed by culturing S. cerevisiae FF-8 (KACC 93023) in a medium containing 3%(w/v) of glucose, 3% of yeast extract, 0.06% of KH2PO4, and 0.06% of L-cysteine. The culture condition is at 30°C, pH 6.0, 200 rpm of stirring speed, 2.0 wm of air supply rate, and 0.8 kgf/cm^2 of inner pressure. The culture of glutathione is performed through batch fermentation or fed-batch fermentation. |
