PURPOSE: A refrigerator and a control method thereof are provided to prevent ices stored in an ice tray from being combined and enable a user to easily know the completion of ice making. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerator comprises an ice tray(22), a controller, an electric part, an input unit, and a temperature sensing part. The ice tray is installed in the storage room. The controller decides the completion of ice making. The electric part provides the information on the completion of ice making. A water supply event is inputted into the input unit. The temperature sensing part senses the temperature of the storage room.
