APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PROCESSING IMAGE TO GENERATE HIGH RESOLUTION IMAGE

PURPOSE: An image processing apparatus and a method thereof are provided to generate high definition image by using a high definition restoring method. CONSTITUTION: A PSF(Point Spread Function) decision unit(420) decides a PSF based on the amount of a sub pixel position between at least one reference image frame and a standard image frame. An image interpolation unit(430) interpolates the standard image frame to a high definition standard image frame which has the resolution higher than the standard image frame. An image restoring unit(440) restores the high definition image by using the high definition standard image frame, the PSF, and at least one reference image frame.
