PURPOSE: A sample holder for a highly radioactive sample of X-ray diffraction analysis is provided to acquire a reliable analyzed result by reducing the background value of an X-ray detector by partially shielding a radioactive sample. CONSTITUTION: A sample holder for a highly radioactive sample of X-ray diffraction analysis comprises: a holding container(10) which is a hollow cylinder with a closed bottom and which has a pair of protrusions(17,19) facing each other; a sample support(30) which is vertically moved and placed in the holder container; a cover(55) which is made of a highly dense material; a holding cover(50) which is a hollow cylinder with a larger inner diameter than the outer diameter of the holding container with a closed top and which presses a sample on the sample support by using self-weight; a handle(70); and a guide rod(90).
