PURPOSE: A preparation method of a metal nanostructure and the metal nanostructure which is manufactured using the same are provided to obtain the metal nanostructure at a room temperature without heating a metal precursor for a long time and to easily obtain nanorods and nanowires using random nanoparticles. CONSTITUTION: A preparation method of a metal nanostructure comprises the following steps: creating a metal and a capping reagent anion by dissolving a metal precursor and a capping agent in a solvent; and forming the metal nanostructure by reducing the metal cation using a free electron after creating the free electron through photolytic reaction of the capping reagent anion. The metal nanostructure is nanoparticles.
